Wow! Chicago! How much fun did I have?!?!
It really could not have been a more perfect weekend. The weather was terrific- we walked around the city and spent a few hours checking out some of the scene down town around Millenium Park, watched the water spray out of the Crown Fountain, walked around Halsted, Hubbard and a few streets in between. Found out the 7-11 has incredible sandwiches and the Marriott lobby was a delightful respite in which to snack and refill our water wine...
The food and music at The Taste of Chicago was great! After the Pride parade, Jules and I went back to the Taste, got some food and fell asleep in the shade of a tree in the park while music was playing around at the event.The parade was one of the funnest days of my life. Talk about a roadside dance party! Lord have mercy! The floats were unbelievable and the costumes were so creative. I think Jules said Gay Day is her new favorite holiday.. I will have to agree...
